Privacy policy
As of 2026-10-25
The party responsible for processing your personal data is TechButler, Julian Walder, Zurich (address and contact in the imprint). Questions about privacy go to hello@techbutler.ch.
This policy describes what data we process when you visit this website, send us a request, book a slot, use the assistant on the website, or when we work for you. The Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) applies. Where the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies, its rules apply as well.
Visiting the website
The website is hosted by Vercel Inc. (USA); the application runs on servers in Frankfurt. When you visit, Vercel processes technically necessary access data (IP address, time, page requested, browser and device type) for operation and security and keeps it in short-lived logs. For audience measurement we use Vercel Web Analytics: page views are counted without cookies and without identifying you. Our contracts with Vercel include the EU standard contractual clauses.
Cookies
We set two cookies, neither for advertising nor for tracking across other websites:
NEXT_LOCALEremembers your language (German or English) for one year.- A random visitor identifier links conversations with the assistant to the same browser for one year. It contains no personal data and is only set when you open the assistant.
You can delete or block cookies in your browser. The website keeps working.
Request form
When you request a visit through the form, we process your name, phone number, optionally your email address and address or postcode, the customer type (private or business), the package you chose, your preferred time and your message, plus the language, the page you sent the form from and your browser's technical identifier (to protect against abuse). The purpose is the callback and the quote.
The request is stored in a database at Supabase Inc. (Frankfurt region, EU). The notification to us and the confirmation to you are sent through Resend Inc. (USA, standard contractual clauses). Requests that do not lead to a job are deleted after 24 months; if a job follows, the retention periods under "Data during a job" apply.
Online booking
For online booking we embed Cal.com. If you use the booking section, Cal.com Inc. processes your entries (name, email, phone, chosen time) under Cal.com's own privacy policy. We receive the booking details to carry out the visit.
Assistant on the website
The assistant answers questions about packages and prices. Your messages are sent to Anthropic PBC (USA) to generate the answer and to Voyage AI Inc. (USA) to search our knowledge base. Our contracts with both providers include standard contractual clauses; under their terms the data is not used to train models. We store conversations with time, language, browser type and visitor identifier for twelve months to review the quality of the answers.
Please do not enter passwords, access details, banking information or health data in the chat. The assistant's answers are not a binding quote.
Phone, WhatsApp and email
When you call, write or contact us on WhatsApp, we process your contact details and the content of the conversation to answer your request and carry out the job. Outside working hours an automated voice and chat assistant may take the call or message; it records the request, transcribes it for us and proposes a slot. The provider of this assistant processes the data on our behalf and is named under "Disclosure". For WhatsApp the terms of Meta Platforms apply in addition; if you prefer not to write there, phone and email reach us just as well.
Data during a job
When we work on your devices we have access to your data. We do not copy data to our own devices, we do not store passwords, and we delete temporary access details once the work is complete. Job records (quote, work log, invoice) are kept for ten years as required by Swiss bookkeeping law.
Disclosure
We pass personal data only to the service providers named here, who process it on our behalf, and to authorities where the law obliges us to. We do not sell data.
Your rights
You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict its processing, to receive it in a common format and to object to its processing. Write to hello@techbutler.ch. You may also lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
Changes
We update this policy when our services or the law change. The version published here, with the date shown above, applies.
